This Privacy Policy explains what we do with your personal information. It describes how we collect, use and process your personal data, and in doing so, how we comply with our legal obligations to you. We will now go into detail regarding the ENGAGE CONSULTING Privacy Policy:

1) Who collects your personal data and who is the entity responsible for handling them
The processing of any personal data collected by ENGAGE CONSULTING, or provided to you, is the responsibility of ENGAGE CONSULTING, headquartered at Av. Da República nº 50 – 2º Piso, 1050-196 Lisboa, whose contact details can be found more below, in this Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as “ENGAGE CONSULTING” or “us”).

2) How are your personal data collected and what kind of data are collected
If you do not wish to do so, you are not obliged to provide ENGAGE CONSULTING with any personal data that you may request from ENGAGE CONSULTING (and, as such, you may exercise your right of objection at any time). However, if you choose not to, we may not be able to provide you with our services, manage your application or respond to any question you may have.
ENGAGE CONSULTING can collect your personal data in a variety of ways, including when you subscribe to our newsletter, when you send us spontaneous applications, when you register on the university’s employment platforms, through job fairs, through references from employees or ex- collaborators, through workshops and partnerships in order to be contacted by ENGAGE CONSULTING, when you enter into a contract with us (work, service or other), when you fill out your client form, or communicate with our teams customer support.

• If you are a candidate | In order to identify and obtain the best job opportunities and / or services adapted to your profile and career goals, we need to process certain information about you. We only request information that will be relevant to us, such as your name, age, contact details, education information, employment history, emergency contact, immigration status, financial information (in cases where (and, of course, you may choose to share other relevant information with us). Where appropriate, and in accordance with the law, we may also collect information or various data on any criminal convictions.
• If you are an ENGAGE CONSULTING customer | We need to collect and use information about you or the people of your company in the scope of our services, in order to provide you with the most complete service possible and for our contractual relationship to proceed in accordance with the law and in a fluid manner. As such, in this context, we may ask you for some personal information such as name, email, function and contact number of employees relevant to the provision of services.
• If you are a supplier | We need a small amount of information regarding your personal data in order to ensure that everything works correctly.We need contact data for certain people in your company so that we can communicate with you as well as other information such as your data so that we can pay you for the services you provide (if this is part of the contractual arrangements between us). We may also save information that someone at your company has chosen to share with us. When we refer to suppliers we want to include any companies (including sole traders) and service providers, such as independent contractors and self-employed, who provide services to ENGAGE CONSULTING.

In certain circumstances, ENGAGE CONSULTING will subcontract the services it provides to customers to third party suppliers who perform the services on behalf of ENGAGE CONSULTING. In this context, suppliers who are sole traders,or suppliers’ collaborators will be treated as candidates for data protection purposes. ENGAGE CONSULTING limits as far as possible the circumstances in which it collects and handles these special categories of data, and does so only when it has given its consent. The purposes and grounds on which ENGAGE CONSULTING treats your personal data depends on your quality of candidate, collaborator or supplier.

If you are a candidate (where we include suppliers who are sole traders, self-employed or supplier employees), please note that your personal data will be collected and processed in particular for the following purposes:
• Recruitment | includes recruitment activities for backoffice services or functions, such as research and selection. In the case of service provision there is an approach to current and potential ENGAGE CONSULTING customers in order to find an opportunity, placement in ENGAGE CONSULTING, as well as related activities. In this context, data related to salary processing and human resources management will also be processed.
• Execution of contracts | includes activities such as entering into contracts with ENGAGE CONSULTING and partners, as well as communication with third parties involved in contracts (insurance companies, beneficiaries, intermediaries);
• Development and improvement of services | includes activities necessary for the development and improvement of the services provided by ENGAGE CONSULTING, activity analysis and processing for potential future opportunities.

If you are a supplier or a customer, your personal data will be collected and processed, in particular, for the following purposes:
• Execution of contract | includes all activities necessary for the execution of the service contract, namely what concerns the processing of payments;
• Communications | includes the necessary contacts so that we can contact you regarding our contracts;
• Development and improvement of services | includes activities necessary for the development and improvement of services provided to or by ENGAGE CONSULTING, analysis of activity, processing for statistical and scientific purposes, as well as to offer you services or to obtain support and services from you ;
• Compliance with legal obligations;
• In certain circumstances, to assist in the declaration, exercise or defense of a right.

ENGAGE CONSULTING may use third party external service providers who perform functions on behalf of ENGAGE CONSULTING, such as companies that host or operate the ENGAGE CONSULTING website, process payments, analyze data, provide customer services, and sponsor or other third parties who cooperate directly with the activity developed by ENGAGE CONSULTING, so that your personal data may be processed by these entities for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, provided that they process your data in accordance with this Poprivacy policy and in accordance with applicable law.

5) Time of conservation of your personal data
ENGAGE CONSULTING will keep your data only for the period strictly necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected. In particular, in the case of personal data collected in connection with recruitment procedures, they shall be kept for a period of 10 (ten) years after the last contact with the candidate. Regarding the personal data of our suppliers and customers, they will be kept for a period of 10 (ten) years.

6) With whom will be shared your personal data
As ENGAGE CONSULTING is an entity that provides recruitment services to third parties, its data may be disclosed to other group companies in the context of this provision of services and recruitment, and for internal reporting purposes.
On the other hand, your personal data can be shared with our clients in the scope of technological consulting services.
As already mentioned in Section 3 of this Privacy Policy, your personal data may be shared with third party service providers who perform functions on behalf of ENGAGE CONSULTING. In this context, your personal data may be shared with companies currently subcontracted by ENGAGE CONSULTING, as well as other service providers to whom we may refer in the future.
Under the applicable law, ENGAGE CONSULTING is obliged to disclose data to the Tax Administration, Social Security, the Working Conditions Authority, and, following judicial mandates, to judicial authorities.

7) International data transfers

• Right of rectification – that is, the right to rectify the incorrect personal data concerning him or to complete them if they are incomplete;
• Right of limitation – under certain conditions, the data subject has the right to limit the processing of his personal data;
• Right to delete – under certain conditions, the data subject has the right to obtain from the controller the erasure of his personal data, without undue delay;
• The right to the portability of your personal data – that is, the right to receive the personal data concerning you and which you have provided in a structured format with current use and automatic reading, as well as the right to transmit that data to another under certain conditions;
